Western Rye System Requirements
A canyon that expects a modern PC and an SSD if you can spare one.
Western Rye is Windows-only on Steam. There is no Mac or Linux listing. Minimum is 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X, 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 580 8 GB or Intel Arc A750, DirectX 11, and 60 GB of space. Recommended is Windows 11, an i7-11700 or Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 GB of RAM, an RTX 3070 Ti or RTX 4070 or RX 6800 XT, and DirectX 12. Both notes prefer an SSD and say the figures were tested with DLSS, FSR, or XeSS enabled. Online co-op needs internet except on LAN.
Those numbers are not a vibe. If you are on 8 GB of RAM, this is not your ranch. If you refuse upscalers on principle, budget more GPU than the minimum line.
How to read the minimum line
Minimum is “low quality, upscaler on, hope the sandstorm does not melt the frame time.” It is enough to learn getting started and close a door. It is not a promise that co-op with four friends and a lot of particles will feel like a trailer. Turn V-Sync over in settings; day-one notes already had to mention it. How to read the recommended line
Recommended is the “high quality, still using an upscaler” story. 32 GB of RAM is the quiet headline. A pretty canyon with weather, horses, and gunfights is a memory hog. If you buy this game for screenshots, buy the RAM too.

How to set the game after it launches
Do a settings pass before the first ride. Confirm V-Sync, pick the upscaler your GPU actually has, and decide whether the canyon is a screenshot machine or a playable ranch. Partial controller support is listed; keyboard and mouse remain the safe first language. Family Sharing is listed and does not change the GPU bill.
If a sandstorm turns the frame time into a slideshow, lower the sky before you lower your standards for weather. A stuttering porch is how remnants win. If the machine cannot hold a door in town, it will not hold a four-person cave.
